Massa Martana, was an important station of one of the most greater roads of the Roman age (the ancient Flaminia road) and still today you can admire some lines of the ancient layout in an intact, extremely pleasant territory. You can discover here various churches, as well as remains belonging to roman age, like Fonnaia's bridge, realized around the year 220 B.c. . History students and lovers, will find really interesting to visit the Christian Catacomb belonging to the III-IV century, the only one of this kind discovered in Umbria until now. Wildlife lovers will enjoy discovering Martani Mountains. There is also available "Martani trekking" service: a run through our mountains that can be done afoot, horse-riding or in mountain-bike.
